Motorists have been urged to stop at police checkpoints and heed advice on road closuresin areas of New South Wales affected by bushfires.
Police issued the plea after several drivers sped through checkpoints set up to adviseof road closures in the Ku-Ring-Gai area, in Sydney's north.
