Qld: Man charged over rock robberies
One man has been charged and two more are being questioned by police over two petrol
station armed robberies on the Gold Coast overnight.
The Shell Service Station at Miami was held up at 1.55am (AEST) and the Ampol Station
at Mermaid Beach minutes later, both by a man wielding a sharp rock.
A 20-year-old man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous
operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence and willful damage.
He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates court tomorrow morning.
An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old man are still assisting police with their enquiries.
